Description:
As part of plan development, the resort presented information to environmental groups, and their concerns were immediately addressed. These groups included the Adirondack Nature Conservancy/Adirondack Land Trust, Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, Residents’ Committee to Protect the Adirondacks, the Adirondack Mountain Club, the Adirondack Council, and Trout Unlimited.

The Golden Eagle Awards for Environmental Excellence were established in 1993 to recognize the environmental achievements of ski areas. Clif Bar & Co. administers the awards program.  Judges for the Golden Eagle Awards include representatives from the Trust for Public Land, U.S. Forest Service, Wildlife Habitat Council, EPA, Natural Capitalism Solutions, Native Energy, Bonneville Environmental Foundation, Ecos Corporation, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, Clif Bar, Babes in the Backcountry and National Ski Areas Association.  For further information, visit clifbar.com.
