Environmental Web-Site; Wildlife/Vegetation Signs; Corporate Environmental Policy; Environmental Mission and Programs on Trail Maps

Description:
Arapahoe Basin dedicates a portion of its web-site to the environment, showing its accomplishments, philosophy, and other pertinent environmental information concerning the resort. In addition, Arapahoe Basin installed vegetation and wildlife awareness signs to inform and educate guests. A corporate environmental policy can be viewed on Arapahoe Basin’s web-site. Trail maps for the resort encourage environmental responsibility by including programs and an environmental mission statement.

Golden Eagle Awards

Golden Eagle Award - Overall Environmental Excellence
2008 (FINALIST)

The Golden Eagle Awards for Environmental Excellence were established in 1993 to recognize the environmental achievements of ski areas. Clif Bar & Co. administers the awards program.  Judges for the Golden Eagle Awards include representatives from the Trust for Public Land, U.S. Forest Service, Wildlife Habitat Council, EPA, Natural Capitalism Solutions, Native Energy, Bonneville Environmental Foundation, Ecos Corporation, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, Clif Bar, Babes in the Backcountry and National Ski Areas Association.  For further information, visit clifbar.com.
