Environmental Charter

Description:
The resort donated 20 acres of land and water for an Environmental Learning Center at its ski area. In addition, the Washington State legislature approved a $2,000,000 budget for its construction. The Environmental Charter made this partnership possible.

The Golden Eagle Awards for Environmental Excellence were established in 1993 to recognize the environmental achievements of ski areas. Clif Bar & Co. administers the awards program.  Judges for the Golden Eagle Awards include representatives from the Trust for Public Land, U.S. Forest Service, Wildlife Habitat Council, EPA, Natural Capitalism Solutions, Native Energy, Bonneville Environmental Foundation, Ecos Corporation, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, Clif Bar, Babes in the Backcountry and National Ski Areas Association.  For further information, visit clifbar.com.
