Education and Outreach
Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, CA
Project Title:
Guest Education

Description:
In the base area, two interactive displays were placed that help educate guests about Alpine Ski Resort’s natural environment. The first one is the Eco-Trail, a multi-stationed, interactive tour through a glade of trees on beginner terrain. The second is an indoor interactive display. Both have become popular with the local schools and the resort’s skiing and boarding guests, exposing more than 350,000 people to the Sierra's ecosystem. Additionally, the Alpine Meadows web site embraces the Environmental Code of the Slopes, spelling out the principles of the Leave No Trace Program and outdoor ethics.
