Aspen Skiing Co., CO
Project Title:
Enviro-scholarships

Description:
The company implemented a $25,000 Environmental Scholarship program to foster environmentalism among high-schoolers. Each year, five high-school seniors receive a $5,000 scholarship. Those chosen are individuals who have demonstrated exceptional environmental stewardship through hands-on work, research, and partnerships with local organizations or other environmental initiatives. The purpose of this program is to foster creative environmentalism among young people, improve and protect the environment, encourage environmentally related work in college and beyond, and draw attention to important issues.
