Energy Use for Lifts
Keystone Resort, CO
Project Title:
Load Shedding

Description:
As of the 2000-2002 winter season, we began using Summit Express and Montezuma as load shedding lifts (using a backup power source to avoid operations at key times), although we have yet to be called upon to shed. We are also considering placing other lifts as well into the load shedding rate structure. As a result of this initiative, saved the resort $60K during the last fiscal year.
