Education and Outreach Keystone Resort, CO | Project Title: Snake River Basin Sustainability LaboratoryDescription: The SRBSL is a unique partnership between Keystone Resort, the University of Denver, and the Keystone Center. Its purpose is to protect and enhance the Snake River Basin through education, Research, and the implementation of a system-oriented and community-based decision model. This model will always value and consider the interdependencies of economic, environmental, and social impacts on both current and future generations while guiding our community towards sustainability. The Golden Eagle Awards for Environmental Excellence were established in 1993 to recognize the environmental achievements of ski areas. Clif Bar & Co. administers the awards program. Judges for the Golden Eagle Awards include representatives from the Trust for Public Land, U.S. Forest Service, Wildlife Habitat Council, EPA, Natural Capitalism Solutions, Native Energy, Bonneville Environmental Foundation, Ecos Corporation, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, Clif Bar, Babes in the Backcountry and National Ski Areas Association.
