Understanding the “Freestyle Terrain Notebook” & How to Bring it to Life
The final component of our seminar will be devoted to NSAA’s new Freestyle Terrain Notebook.
As demand for this type of terrain has grown, the industry has gained valuable experience in the
design, construction, maintenance and operation of parks and other freestyle terrain. The Notebook
contains examples, samples and resource information based on “best” practices utilized at a number
of resorts. This session will focus on the issues addressed in the Notebook and give you tips and
take-homes to help you deliver the message to your employees and your guests. What you will learn:
- How to use NSAA’s newly-developed Power Point templates for training all levels of
employees about Freestyle Terrain;
- Tips for how to assist your guests in understanding and accepting their responsibilities
when using Freestyle Terrain;
- How to use your own website to deliver safety information and park user education;
- View the latest NSAA/Burton SmartStyle video and learn how to use it and other training
tools effectively at your resort.
NSAA thanks MountainGuard and Wells Fargo Insurance Services for sponsoring the 2008 Fall Education Seminars.
NSAA reserves the right to limit attendance to
ski resort personnel only. Session content and times may vary slightly according to each program.
