Marco Island Marriott Incurs Minimal Damage From Wilma
NSAA National Convention and Tradeshow Slated for May 22-25
LAKEWOOD, Colo. — October 28, 2005 — Officials from Marco Island Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa report that the resort sustained only minimal damage from Hurricane Wilma. In September, NSAA changed the venue of its 2006 National Convention and Tradeshow from New Orleans to Marco Island, Fla.
Resort Public Relations Director Stephanie Lansdale reports that the resort is currently open including its restaurants, spa and other amenities. She adds that window replacements, which are typical in conjunction with a storm of this nature, will be completed shortly. Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico along three miles of pristine white sand beach, the award winning resort offers over 700 newly renovated rooms and suites, four restaurants, a full-service spa, and 18-hole Championship Golf Course. The 2006 National Convention and Tradeshow is slated for May 22-25. For more information visit www.nsaa.org.
