NSAA Relocates 2006 National Convention to Marco Island, Fla.

LAKEWOOD, Colo.— September 14, 2005 — As a result of Hurricane Katrina and its devastating aftermath, NSAA has changed the venue of its 2006 National Convention and Tradeshow from New Orleans to Marco Island, Fla.

Given the magnitude of destruction caused by Katrina and the considerable time required for rebuilding, NSAA is not in a position to hold its convention in New Orleans as previously scheduled. NSAA extends its deepest sympathies to the people of New Orleans and all communities affected by Katrina, and applauds the efforts of its member resorts who have graciously provided aid to these communities in their recovery and rebuilding efforts.

NSAA will hold its 2006 National Convention and Tradeshow at the Marco Island Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa on Marco Island, Fla., on May 22-25, 2006.

The Marriott, a familiar destination for NSAA, has recently undergone significant improvements. Further information on the 2006 NSAA National Convention and Tradeshow will be posted on the NSAA website (www.nsaa.org) and printed in the NSAA Journal.
