Go Sun Smart

The Go Sun Smart website provides you with information on both “What to Know” and “What to Do” in regard to protecting your skin and eyes from the sun’s harmful UV rays. You can learn about your personal risk factors for skin damage, as well as the effects of UV exposure on your skin and eyes. You can also find out “What to Do” to protect yourself, by doing such things as using sunscreen and lip balm, wearing a hat and sunglasses, and practicing early detection skin exams.

Angel Fire Resort incorporated the Go Sun Smart program as part of their annual Fiesta del Sol weekend, March 10-12, 2006. All the lift operations crew sported the Go Sun Smart hats, banners were strategically placed throughout the base area and sunblock distributed. Fiesta del Sol activities focused on spring break fun such as pond skimming, snow volleyball, speed trap, and the “I rode the short bus at Angel Fire” rail jam.
