NSAA’s Fall Education Seminars are back—and they are in-person* at 10 regional locations around the country this fall. For 27 incredible years, MountainGuard has sponsored NSAA’s FES education programs. This year, NSAA and MountainGuard will bring the industry up to date on two seasons of claims, risk management and legal issues, regulations, new technologies, and operational advances across the industry. Each stop of the educational tour will focus on both national issues and regional challenges to showcase and discuss. Lift Safety, and specifically unseated passengers, was the focus of the nationwide message. Regional challenges included unique risk management issues from waivers and releases, claims and case law updates, and best practices for 3rd party events at your resort. Each stop of the Fall Educational Seminars features guidance and advice from local Association of Ski Defense Attorneys (ASDA) and includes guest speakers from each region.
With the in-person format returning to the FES series, resorts and staff have the opportunity to again share thoughts, ideas, and solutions in an environment that so many of us have patiently waited for. After a near-record ski season with more than 59 million skier visits, this upcoming year is sure to be strong as well! The 10-location FES tour allows ample opportunity for resorts in all corners of the US to attend and take a peek over the horizon for what’s coming and to showcase the current risk management and operational practices to provide the best possible experience for our skiing and riding guests this coming season.

NSAA COVID EVENT POLICY
NSAA values the health and safety of its members and event attendees. The association has issued the following requirements for all event attendees, including vendors and NSAA staff. Please note that these requirements are subject to change based on the latest information, local public health requirements and/or venue regulations, up to and through the event dates.
These requirements will be in place for the following FES dates: September 29 and October 1, 6, 8, 19 & 21. Other FES sessions occur at events managed by other associations, and may have different policies. Please refer to those event policies for more information (links provided below).
All NSAA event attendees MUST WEAR A MASK in all public indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status. Masks must be worn over the nose and mouth. This includes at registration, in sessions, at tradeshows and at any other event-related gatherings. In order for attendees to hear and understand our speakers, we may make adjustments that will allow them to alter or remove their masks while presenting. We will be working with our venues to promote physical distancing whenever possible. When eating or drinking, please try to keep physical distance from others, and pull your mask up when you are not actively eating or drinking. Masks are not required outdoors unless physical distancing cannot be maintained.
Please refer to the CDC guidance on the type of mask you should wear.
We ask that you do not attend the event if you are feeling sick or experiencing Covid symptoms.
