Environmentally Savvy Ski Areas!
During the 2001 winter season, a documentary on the National Ski Areas Association’s Sustainable Slopes Environmental Charter aired on public television across the country on a PBS program called “Spotlight On.” The five-minute vignette portrays how ski areas are being creative in conserving and protecting natural resources. Thanks to the underwriters for the program: Aspen Skiing Company, Jiminy Peak and the U.S. Department of Energy.
