Opening Cocktail Reception
Napa Valley combines the elegance and history of Mediterranean Europe with a rustic and relaxed Californian sensibility. For our opening cocktail reception, step into a Napa Wine Garden to enjoy an evening of mingling with colleagues and friends, as you experience the essence of California wine country.
Gala Dinner and Dancing
In the 1960’s, San Francisco’s North Beach was the swanky destination for fun-loving folks who wore flared
suits instead of tie die, and kipper ties instead of wooden beads. San Francisco’s mix of Victorian era
opulence and a progressive spirit provided the perfect setting for the changing times.
Our Gala evening will give you a taste of the North Beach Broadway clubs in their heyday. You’ll walk into a room
glowing with rich red hues. Guests will take their seats at tables swathed in black and silver sequined linens,
topped with red and black tasseled votive lamps. It’s the perfect setting for the evening’s entertainment as you
dance to the sounds of the MVP’s, and feast your eyes on the beautiful high-stepping women of the 60s complete with
Go-Go cages. Come on down with your dancing shoes and have a party at the City Club of North Beach.
Bike the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito
Thursday, May 29
9:30 am – after lunch
Cost: $80 per person
The adventure will start from Union Square near the Hilton where we will catch a cable car down to Bay City Bike in Fisherman’s Wharf. There you will be outfitted with a helmet and your 24-gear Comfort Hybrid bike. With a tour guide our group will embark on a fabulous nine mile ride which follows the waterfront past Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, the Marina & Presidio neighborhoods, Crissy Field, and the Palace of Fine Arts & Fort Point. Riders will cross the Golden Gate Bridge on a wide bike path to the Vista Point, then coast down to Fort Baker. On Sausalito Bay, riders will enjoy a catered, boxed lunch in a park setting. At that point you will leave your bikes with the tour guide and have as much, or as little, time as you wish to explore the quaint town of Sausalito before you catch a ferry which will bring you back to Fisherman’s Wharf where you are free to further explore the waterfront area before catching a cable car back to the hotel.
You must be pre-registered. Please do not wait until the convention registration day. There is limited space and we guarantee the ride will be sold out.
