NSAA Hires Industry Veteran as New Education Director
Former Vail Resorts Director Ann George to Head up Association's Educational Programs.
LAKEWOOD, Colo -December 3, 2007- After an extensive search, NSAA has
hired Ann George, former human resource director for Vail Resorts, Broomfield, Colo., to serve
as the association's Education Director.
"Having worked at resorts in the East and West, Ann brings with her valuable experience
and industry knowledge that make her a significant asset to the association," said NSAA
President Michael Berry.
Ann has worked in the ski industry for more than 20 years. Most recently she
served as Human Resource Director for Vail Resorts, a position she held since 2002. Prior
to that, Ann served as Human Resource Manager for Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek, from
2000 to 2002 and also as a corporate training manager for Vail Resorts from 1996 to 2000.
In the East, Ann was the human resource manager for Waterville Valley, N.H.,
from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, she served the resort in various capacities including
lift operations manager, ski rental shop manger and part-time ski patroller.
Ann received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Pine Manor
College in Massachusetts. Ann first skied at Taos Ski Valley, N.M. when she was three years old.
Ann replaces Tim White, who now serves as executive director of the National Ski Patrol.
