Is it really five straight days?
There are four days of educational content: Tuesday, 6/8, through Friday, 6/11. On Monday, 6/7, we will be familiarizing attendees with the Whova event platform.
How do I register?
You can register online at nsaa.org > Events > 2021 National Convention. Each registration will receive an invitation to access Whova where you will be able to view the live presentations and engage with other attendees.
Do I have to register online?
Yes, you will need to use a credit card to pay and provide a unique email address to register.
Can I register multiple people at the same time?
Yes, you may register multiple people at the same time when registering yourself online. Each person you register needs a unique email address, and you will need to pay with a credit card.
Can an admin assistant register other people?
Yes, an admin assistant can register other people as long as they do so with the email/login of one of the people who will be attending the conference. Whova requires a unique email address for each individual attendee.
Can I apply for a grant from the Mountain Foundation to attend?
In lieu of awarding scholarships for the event, we will be accepting applications to receive a COMPLIMENTARY login for the event. Head to this page to find the application form . Deadline for submittal is May 14, 2021.
Can I register after the event starts?
Yes, you can register at any time up until the last day of the show.
What if I need to cancel or exchange my/someone’s registration?
To make changes or cancellations, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help you out!
Is there a discount for multiple attendees from the same ski area?
There is not a discount for multiple attendees from the same area. However, ski areas may use a log-in to show sessions to multiple people in the same room, in accordance with their state or local physical distancing and gathering guidelines.
Can non NSAA members participate?
Yes, non-NSAA member ski area personnel can participate; non-member pricing applies. Suppliers that are not NSAA members are not eligible to participate.
I've registered, what now? How do I access the event?
After registering, you will receive an email from Whova providing a link and instructions to access the app or desktop site. Once logged in to either, you can view the schedule, access the individual sessions, and interact with other attendees and suppliers.
What is Whova? What does it do? How do I get access to Whova? Will you help me learn how to use Whova?
Whova is an event hosting platform available on desktop and apps for both iOS and Android. Once you have registered for the event you will receive an email from Whova in early May that will provide directions on how to download the app to a mobile device (phone or tablet) or to access the desktop version, and set up your account to participate in the event. NSAA will be hosting a few stand-alone sessions in the weeks leading up to the National Convention to help familiarize you with Whova and learn how to get the most out of your experience.
Do I have to use Whova to watch the live sessions?
All sessions will be streamed through Whova on your mobile device, tablet or computer. The app will be the primary way to access the sessions and interact with other attendees.
Can I ask questions of the presenters during sessions?
Yes! There is a chat function within Whova to comment and ask questions.
How do I interact with other attendees?
There are a variety of ways to interact in Whova. You can post comments in specific sessions, send messages (privately or publicly) to other attendees including suppliers, arrange meet-ups, and even schedule one-on-one video chats.
Can I just check out the vendors without registering for the entire event?
No, the Supplier/Exhibitor listing is only available with National Show registration.
I’m looking to have a conversation with other attendees about a specific topic, how do I do this?
You will be able to see the other attendees in the Whova app and message them directly. Additionally, attendees can create a meet-up within the app, and invite others to join.
When will the session descriptions be posted?
Session descriptions will be posted as they are confirmed. We expect a full schedule to be released on or around May 1st.
Will sessions be recorded?
Yes, sessions will be recorded and available through the Whova event app and/or nsaa.org. To access the recordings, you must have a valid National show registration.
What are Supplier Meet ups and Appointments?
Supplier Meet Ups & Appointments is the time reserved where suppliers can connect directly with National show attendees. This is time set aside in the schedule for you to connect with suppliers that may or may not have virtual meet-ups arranged.
